University of the Third Age Holds Monthly Meeting on 10 March


Including a talk by PC Tom Lee on Phone and Cyber Crime Prevention

The University of the Third Age, or U3A, is holding its next monthly meeting on Tuesday 10 March at St Mary’s Church Hall on the corner of Edith Road and Hammersmith Road from 10.30 am till 12.30am.

The guest speaker at this meeting will be PC Tom Lee of the Met Police's Cyber Crime Unit, talking about Phone and Cyber Crime Prevention and how to protect yourself from fraud.

Attendance at U3A meetings is free for members. Visitors are welcome for a donation of £2.50 which will be refunded to those joining on the day.

General meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month for all members where matters of the day are discussed and a speaker is invited to give a talk.

The meetings begin with an update from the Chair, current news from Group Conveners and any other items of interest. This is followed by tea, coffee and biscuits (50p) where members have the chance to socialise.

Members also organise various activities across the month at given venues or members homes.

Hammersmith & Fulham U3A has been active in Hammersmith for the past 11 years though members come from other areas of West London, including Chiswick.

The U3A is aimed mainly at people who have retired or are semi-retired, but other people who feel they have time to enjoy leisurely activities are always welcome.
