Upper Room Winter Lectures Continue at St Saviour's


This month Lord Andrew Adonis will be interviewed by Prof. Steve Schifferes

The Upper Room Winter Lecture Series continues on Thursday 25 April at St Saviour's Church in Cobbold Road.

This month it will move away from a formal lecture mode, with Lord Andrew Adonis being interviewed by Prof. Steve Schifferes.

The focus will be 'Have our politics changed forever?', but Prof. Schifferes also hopes to explore some other major political issues linked to Lord Adonis' carer.

Lord Adonis, academic and journalist, has a distinguished political career, served for five years in the Labour government and was head of the no. 10 Policy Unit before entering the Lords in 2005.

Prof Schifferes will also take questions from the audience as the evening proceeds.

Entrance is free but donations are welcome.

All the speakers in this annual series have given their time free to support The Upper Room, a charity based at St Saviour which has been been working to help socially disadvantaged people in London since 1990, including homeless people, economic migrants and ex-offenders.
