Upper Room Lectures Continue on 27 February with John Humphrys

With venue moved to St Michael and All Angels Church due to demand for tickets

The Upper Room’s 2020 Winter Lecture series, which began in January with a sell-out discussion featuring Darcey Bussell, continues this month with John Humphrys on 27 February.

This event sees a reversal of roles for John, the ‘feared inquisitor’ and presenter of the BBC Radio 4 Today programme for over 30 years. Asking the questions will be the journalist and broadcaster Julian Marshall.

There is also a change of venue this month with the talk moving to St Michael and All Angels Church in Bath Road, due to demand for tickets. This means 300 people can now attend.

The talk runs from 8-9pm with refreshments from 7.40pm.

To book, go to the Upper Room website or register at Eventbrite. The event is free but donations are welcome.

The final lecture on 26 March will be by Sir Stephen Waley-Cohen, chairman of RADA.

All the speakers in this annual series have given their time free to support The Upper Room, a charity based at St Saviour which has been been working to help socially disadvantaged people in London since 1990, including homeless people, economic migrants and ex-offenders.
