Westfield Begins Countdown to Christmas


Tickets available now for ice rink and Santa's Grotto

Westfield has begun the countdown to Christmas by announcing the opening of its ice skating rink and grotto.

The indoor rink, inside the Atrium, will be open from Thursday November 22 until January 6, 2013.

Fun Penguin stabilisers will keep young skaters looking like professionals and festive music will provide the soundtrack.

Look out for special themed sessions and take advantage of the early bird offer of 20% off any off peak tickets purchased before November 11.

Santa will also be opening his 5d Personalised Grotto Experience on November 22 and will be there to greet the children until Christmas Eve.

Elbow the Elf at Westfield Shepherd's BushThe experience with a Pixar film quality animated story that tells the tale of Elbow the Elf, who saves Christmas.

Visitors to Santa’s Grotto will be immersed in a stereoscopic 3D visual experience which incorporates a fourth dimension of wind, lights and elf dust!

Each child visiting Santa’s Grotto at either Westfield London or Westfield Stratford City will receive a gift and have the opportunity to feature in the film, helping Elbow on his journey to help save Santa’s presents from the good-elf-turned-bad.

Visitors can also continue the fun with a special Elbow the Elf mobile phone app available to download after the experience via a smart phone.

Booking for both the ice rink and the grotto are available now.

The ice rink is suitable for all ages from four years, although children under the age of 12 will need to be accompanied on the ice by a paying adult. Penguin skating aids will be available at each ice rink for £4.00. Ten are available per session

Each ice rink session is one hour in duratiol with 45 minutes on the ice, and the rink can hold up to 180 people at a time.

Westfield London has a 180 person capacity ice rink.
