Contributions invited to community event on Saturday May 16
May Madness is back, taking over Askew Road and Starch Green on Saturday May 16.
Last May, the Askew Business Network organised the very successful May Madness in W12 together with Hammersmith Community Gardens.
This year they are doing it again and the theme this time is The Very Hungry Caterpillar, inspired by the work of Eric Carle.
Local people are invited to metamorphose into a beautiful butterfly or loop along as a colourful caterpillar. Follow The Very Hungry Caterpillar Trail up and down Askew Road – and visit the various shops and cafés.
There will also be a Hungry Caterpillar train, Very Hungry Caterpillar fancy dress competition, face painting, balloon artist, plant sale, games, smoothy bike, Morris men and more!
May Madness will take place from 11am till 3pm on Saturday.
