Shepherd's Bush Festival Goes Ahead


Join the fun on the Green on Saturday

Shepherd's Bush Festival, the largest community event of the year, will go ahead this Saturday, August 13, on Shepherd's Bush Green.

The free festival will begin at 1pm and will run through till 7pm and will offer live music and DJs all day as well as a host of activities for all ages. They will include:

Cultural Corner

An amazing opportunity to make flags and bracelets representing your own country.  Create carnival art for Nottinghill Carnival and design pictures to have tiled on the Masbro Community Centre wall.

Circus Skills

Magic, Hula Hooping, Clowning, Acro-balance and more! – A great chance to learn new skills and have fun!

Capoeira (from Brazil)

Combining elements of martial arts, music and dance, participants will learn techniques that increase flexibility, strength and stamina. 

African drum workshops

Work in groups and use different beats to form an amazing collective sound.

Hula Hooping

For fun or for fitness, find out just how much you can do with a hula hoop!

Boxing Demos

Fabulous demonstrations of Cuban and classic boxing techniques (along with boxing health and safety)

Zumba

Move and shake like a natural with this high energy, Latin aerobics dance workout.

Street Dance

Learn the latest moves from movies like “Honey” and “Step up”.

Talent Show

Presenting artists, musicians and performers from in and around Shepherds Bush

Activities for Kids
Kids will be well entertained with lots of FREE stuff including face painting and a bouncy castle.

Food and Drink
What do you fancy?  Caribbean, Middle Eastern Cuisines or English?  We have so much great food to choose from.
