Gunshots Fired at Shepherd's Bush Market Station

No injuries reported but police close road and tube station

Shepherd's Bush Market Tube Station has been cordoned off and Uxbridge Road closed by police following reports of gunshots being fired around between 4pm and 5pm today, Tuesday October 5.

However it seems no one was hurt in what was earlier described as a "serious" incident. Police released a statement saying that no victims had made themselves known, and adding that investigations were ongoing.

At 5.45pm Uxbridge remained closed in both directions with queueing traffic in both directions between the A219 Shepherd's Bush Green junction and the B408 Askew Road junction.

Congestion has spread as far as the Southern Roundabout. For further updates check our Live Travel News

Transport for London say Shepherd's Bush Market Tube Station is also closed at the request of the police.
