The man, wearing a "very distinctive" striped outfit was pictured travelling from Westfield to Maida Vale, where he is suspected of attacking a teenager at a takeaway at 11.50pm on December 31.

He was allegedly among a group of nine men who left a 17-year-old with serious chest and arm injuries at Carolina Chicken in Harrow Road. The victim has now made a full recovery.

Details of the "unprovoked" assault have just been released by officers.

The suspect has also been linked to a separate assault at Westfield earlier that day. A 23 year-old was injured in that attack, which took place at about 6pm.

"Police wish to speak with this man urgently regarding these incidents," says Det Con Jorden Brewster of the Metropolitan Police.

"He is a black man aged around 18 wearing a very distinctive striped hat and dark clothing."

A 15 year-old boy has already been given a six-month referral order after admitting common assault during this attack.

An 18 year-old was also arrested and has been bailed until later this month.
