Police dismiss terrorism connection after man suffers multiple knife wounds

A teenager appeared in Court this weekend charged with GBH after a man was stabbed in the Westfield Shopping Centre in Shepherd's Bush on Friday afternoon (5 August).

18-year-old Javarni English from Perrin Road Wembley also faces charges of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

The police and ambulance services were called to the complex in Shepherd’s Bush at around 2pm where they found a man in his twenties suffering from knife wounds. He was taken to hospital and it is not believed at this stage that his injuries are life threatening.

Javarni English and another male were arrested in connection with this investigation by officers from Hammersmith and Fulham. They retain an open mind as to the motive but say this incident is not terror related.
