43-year-old Earl Justin White, also known as 'Earl Hall' of Danehurst Street, SW6 was convicted of fourteen separate offences, after a trial at Harrow Crown Court on Monday, 1 July.

The offences committed by White were not just limited to burglary, but also included; fraud, handling of stolen passports and bank cards, possessing weapons and the assault on the police officers.

White’s offences occurred between December 2018 and January 2019 in the boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea. He was caught when police were called to North End Road by a resident who saw him behaving suspiciously in the early hours.

Two officers responded and confronted White in a communal area, who gave his name as 'Tony Jarrod'. When the officers became suspicious, White lashed out, pushing one officer and punching the other in the face, causing a split lip.

The officers managed to restrain and arrest White and a search of his possessions found a kitchen knife, stolen jewellery and bank cards, not in his name. A search of his home address uncovered further stolen items from separate burglaries.

Since his arrest, White has pleaded guilty to all fourteen charges against him and will serve 56 months in prison.

Detective Constable Amit Tailor of the West Area Command Unit, said: "We are pleased to be able to have finally come to an end to this trial and put a serial offender behind bars.

"White acted in an aggressive manner in attacking the two officers and committed crimes without a second thought for the consequences of his actions and their damaging effects on others.

"We thank the concerned member of the public who phoned the police and brought his suspicious behaviour to our attention. The borough is safer now with White behind bars."
