Man Sought After Car Driven at Police Officer in Shepherd's Bush

A 26-year-old man is wanted for questioning after a car was driven at a police officer at a petrol station in Shepherd’s Bush.

Police wish to speak to Christopher Coleman who has links to the Westbourne Park and Kensal Green areas of London following an incident of grievous bodily harm (GBH) that took place on Saturday, 23 January.

At around 5.30pm officers were conducting a vehicle stop when a car pulled onto the forecourt and a man got out. He walked to the shop area of the petrol station attracting the notice of the officers because he appeared to be paying particular attention to their presence.

One of the officers ran a check on the vehicle he was driving which showed that the car was registered to a woman.

When they approached him and asked for his insurance details the man got back into the car and drove off, driving directly toward one officer who narrowly avoided serious injury.
