A fire broke out in a terraced property converted into flats on Askew Road in the early hours of Thursday morning (27 October).

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to the scene in Shepherd's Bush.

Part of the lower ground floor was damaged by fire.

Two people left the property before the arrival of the Brigade and a further five people were evacuated from the address by firefighters.

The Brigade was called at 4.14am and the fire was under control just over an hour later. Fire crews from Acton, Hammersmith and Chiswick fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
