The Hoxton, the grand new hotel due to open this winter on the west side of Shepherd’s Bush Green, is set to include a Thai American restaurant described as world class.

The restaurant, called Chet’s, has initially launched as a pop-up in the Hoxton Hotel in Holborn, before moving to a new location in Shepherd’s Bush. Though the group have not officially announced that this location is within W12’s new hotel, insiders expect it to be confirmed soon.

Chet’s menu has been devised by chef Kris Yenbamroong, who is best known in the restaurant trade for two famous Los Angeles restaurants, Night + Market and Night + Market Song. Specialities on the menu include a Thai American Smashburger, made with pork and beef and flavoured with chilli and coriander, Stinky Fish Pasta - Bucatini with butter and pla raa fermented fish - and Chet’s own Ice Cream Sandwich.

The nine storey Hoxton, on the site of the former post office at 65 - 69 Shepherd’s Bush Green is the fourth of the group’s ‘open-house’ hotels in London, and will have 237 bedrooms, bar, restaurant, lobby, retail space and a meeting and event space, known as The Apartment.

Though Hoxton hotels generally cater for the luxury end of the market, the good news for potential customers is that the rooms include a new 'affordable' category called the Hideout.

EPR Architects say the new hotel’s design “unites the vibrant and unique Art Deco characteristics of the local area with The Hoxton’s signature aesthetic and a relaxed neighbourhood feel. The project complements a striking streetscape populated by some of London’s most significant buildings, including Shepherd’s Bush Empire.”

The Hoxton will become the final part of Shepherd’s Bush’s new hotel quarter, sitting next door to the Grade II listed Dorsett Shepherd’s Bush and the adjoining Palladium.

Its new restaurant will also be sitting alongside the Shikumen on the Dorsett’s ground floor, which has won a number of awards and been named one of the best Chinese restaurants in London.
