An ‘underutilised’ strip of land at 190-194 Goldhawk Road could be redeveloped to create 36 flats.
A team including dMFK Architects, design practice Rolfe Judd, interior fit out contractor Fit Out UK and communications agency Kanda Consulting, has drawn up plans for the long thin strip on the north side of the road, which currently includes a small depot, warehouse buildings and a gated-off car park.
The project team is inviting people who live or work in the area to visit the site, view the plans and share their ideas on Tuesday 18 July, between 4pm and 7pm. 190-194 Goldhawk Road is at the western end of the road, close to Prince Consort Village.

The team says the local area is predominantly residential. However, the front of this site is used by a construction company and the rear is underutilised.
It adds that while the nearby streetscape has a variety of buildings, recent developments have included similar high quality brick housing schemes with inset and projecting balconies.

190-194 Goldhawk Road has strong transport links, with frequent 94 and 237 bus services. Goldhawk Road Station on the Hammersmith & City and Circle lines is an eight minute walk away, with Stamford Brook, Ravenscourt Park and Hammersmith Stations all within 20 minutes’ walk of the site.
The team says. “ With the construction company currently on site looking to relocate, this redevelopment represents an exciting opportunity to bring forward a more appropriate and long-term use of the site, improving its relationship with Goldhawk Road and the surrounding context.”
