Dorsett Shepherd's Bush Triumphs in West London Business Awards

Third accolade for hotel at end of successful first year

The hotel overlooking Shepherd's Bush Green has been named Hospitality Business of the Year at the 2015 West London Business Awards.

This is the third accolade for the hotel this year. Last month, it won the award for Best New Business at the Hammersmith and Fulham Brilliant Business Awards.

Earlier this year meanwhile it was among a 91 strong list of winners in the 2015 Civic Trust Awards.

These awards recognise the very best in architecture, urban design, planning, landscape, public realm and public art. Successful projects have made an outstanding contribution to the quality and appearance of the built environment.

Set within a Grade II listed building built in 1923, originally known as The Shepherds Bush Pavilion, the Dorsett is one of the most distinctive and imposing buildings in Shepherds's Bush.

The hotel boasts 317 Chinese inspired bedrooms and suites, an executive lounge, two sumptuous restaurants - Pictures and Shikumen, a decadent Adeela Crown Aesthetic Spa, as well as a business centre and 24 hour fitness centre.

Hilary Cross, the General Manager of the Dorsett Shepherds Bush Hotel was present at both recent ceremonies to accept the awards.

She says: "It is a true honour to accept these awards for Hospitality Business of the Year and Best New Business on the hotel's behalf. These accolades are a rewarding acknowledgment of the hotel team’s hard work since we opened in 2014 and we look forward to furthering the hotel's success in 2016."

The Dorsett wasn't the only local landmark to triumph in the West London Business Awards. Westfield shopping centre was also a big winner, being named both West London Business of the Year and Green Business of the Year for its efforts in achieving zero waste to landfill both for the centre itself and its tenants.
