Housing Association to Build New Homes on Du Cane Road

Plans submitted for 31 flats on site of petrol station

Ducane Housing Association have submitted plans to Hammersmith and Fulham Council for a 31 home development on the site of a former Gulf petrol station on Du Cane Road in Shepherd's Bush.

The association says the plans, designed by architects Levitt Bernstein Associates, involve  the construction of a building that was partly three and partly five storey high.

If approved by the council, the building will contain 31 flats which the association says will be aimed at key workers, who include public service employees such as teachers, firefighters and nurses.

Ducane, who have already made their mark on Du Cane road by adding flats made from pre-fabricated "pods" on a seventies building opposite Hammersmith Hospital, have included a number of designs which they say show how the building might look on the website. You can see them  in full here.
