Escape Games Hub Opens for Bookings in West 12 Centre

Second escape centre rivals Escape London on Uxbridge Road

The West 12 Shopping Centre in Shepherd's Bush has a brand new attraction - an Escape Games hub which has opened this week for bookings.

It is the second of its kind to open in Shepherd's Bush, rivalling the existing Escape London in Uxbridge Road.

If you haven't come across these games before, they offer teams of people the chance to use skills and logic to solve puzzles and escape from inside locked rooms.

The hub, launched by Adventox, is on the first floor of the centre and offers two games - Alcatraz: No Way Out and Terror Alert in London.

Adventox describe the games as fun team building activities and add that escape games are designed to promote team work, team bonding, leadership skills and performance as well as providing a fun team activity that everyone can enjoy.

They say: " Dive into another world, find and solve puzzles and riddles and escape the room. Our live-escape experiences will challenge you as an individual and as a team, within a fun and entertaining setting. As always, it is up to you to decide on how deep you want to get into the story but our focus is on a more dramatic, in depth experience.

"Cross the threshold. Watch the door close behind you. All you have is your Team. Take a deep breath. You have 60 minutes. The clock is ticking... Let's Go! "

You can find out more about the hub at the website.

Escape London meanwhile, at 117 Uxbridge Road, offers three different games - the Da Vinci Room, offering players the chance to take on the role of thieves trying to recover the Holy Grail for the greater good; Area 52, asking if your your group has what it takes to work out if an incident is a conspiracy or the real thing and Escape Casino, which is apparently a room filled with additional puzzles that hold rewards.

These games are also designed for teams of up to six players who are tasked with completing a series of challenges in 60 minutes allowing them to unlock the next one and eventually the safe which contains the key for the door.

Claustrophobes will be pleased to know that emergency keys are available!
