Deadline approaches to get school applications in
One secondary school in W12 and several others across the borough will be holding their open days in the next few weeks for children due to start in September 2009.
Burlington Danes Academy, on Wood Lane, W12, will be holding an open morning on Wednesday October 8, from 9am to 11am and the following day, from 5pm to 7.30pm.
Henry Compton School, on Kingwood Road, SW6 will be holding open days for current year six pupils (aged 10) on October 14, 16 and 23. These will also take place from 9.15am to 10.15am. There will also be an after school tour on Tuesday October 21 from 4pm to 5pm.
Hurlingham and Chelsea School, on Peterborough Road, SW6, is holding an open evening on Wednesday October 8, from 6pm to 9pm. The school is also open to visitors every Wednesday at 9am throughout the school year.
Several schools are also holding Sixth Form open days:
The London Oratory School, on Seagrave Road, SW6, will be holding a sixth form open day on Wednesday October 15 at 6.30pm.
William Morris Sixth Form College also has a number of open days planned. Sessions will take place on Wednesday October 15 and Wednesday November 12, from 4pm to 7pm. Students must be accompanied by parents on both of these days. Parents and pupils will be able to see the college in session from 9am on Thursday, November 20 and Friday, November 21. Appointments for these sessions need to be book in advance by calling 020 8748 6969.
Parents are also reminded to make sure that they send their school applications back in time for the Friday October 24 deadline.
