Goldhawk Road Closed on Friday Due to 'Concerns for Welfare of a Man'

Police and ambulance on scene as witnesses report seeing man on roof of bus station

London Fire Brigade, London Ambulance and the police were all on the scene, and a helicopter was seen flying above the area. A police drone was also deployed.

Concerned witnesses reported seeing a distressed man on the roof of the bus station, including local resident Annie, who tweeted @Fannyannie3:" Someone is on the roof of the bus station in Goldhawk road , so the station and bus garage have been taped off, police, ambulance and fire brigade are present. Have a thought for this person."

H&F Council issued an emergency alert over the incident, saying: "Due to an ongoing police operation in Goldhawk Road, the bus station and Goldhawk Road tube station are currently closed and local traffic is being diverted.

"There is no threat to the public - but please avoid the area. London Fire Brigade, police and ambulance services are on the scene."

Happily, the emergency was over by afternoon, with  H&F Council reporting: "The police incident at Goldhawk Road/Wells Road W12 has finished. Tube/bus services are returning to normal and the police cordon has been lifted. Thank you for your patience."
