Woman Killed By Bus at Shepherd's Bush Station Named


Carol Thomas died outside Westfield after being hit by double decker

The woman who died after being hit by a bus in Shepherd's Bush last week has been named by police.

Carol Elizabeth Thomas, aged 50 from Chiswick, was hit by a 260 bus on Westfield Way at around 7.20am on Wednesday, 15th April. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the bus, a man aged in his forties, was arrested and taken to a west London police station. He has been bailed to return, pending further enquiries, on a date in late May.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Merton are investigating.
