Did You Grow Up in the Bush in the Late 50s or Early 60s?

Join a reunion and share your memories at Cooke's Pie and Mash shop on Saturday

Did you grow up in the White City Estate, or around Shepherd's Bush in the late 1950s or early 60s and remember Hammersmith Country and Christopher Wren Schools?

If so, you are invited to Pie and Mash Revisited, a special reunion event taking place at Cooke's Pie and Mash shop in Goldhawk Road this Saturday, April 13 at noon, and then going on to the Bush Hotel for drinks.

The event is being organised by Lynne Ahearne, who says:
" The lunch/ get together is for anyone who lived in the area and went to the pie and mash shop.

" We are now spread all around the country but are going to meet up for possibly the last time in our life time. Firstly, l am 66 this year and who knows the future, and also there is the threat of the all the shops being pulled down.

" We all have great memories of the pie and mash shop. We have someone flying over from Ireland, coming from Sussex, and all parts of London. l am coming from Epsom, Surrey. It is going to be such fun.

" I have contacted the owner and he is very happy to let us have this reunion."

If you, or someone close to you, would like to join the reunion, you can contact Lynne by emailing lynneahearne@hotmail.co.uk or call her on 07900 146 220.
