Victoria Beckham Set to Move to White City

Designer reportedly in negotiations over offices in former Media Village

Victoria Beckham is set to move the headquarters of her fashion empire to White City, according to the Evening Standard.

The newspaper says, in a major boost for the £8 billion regeneration of the area, she is understood to be in negotiations to secure 40,000 square feet of offices and studio space in Garden House at the former BBC’s Media Village, now known as White City Place.

This means the celebrity designer will double the size of her base when she relocates from Battersea next year. Her fashion label is eight years old and employs 150 people.

The Media Village on Wood Lane is only a short distance from Victoria and David Beckham's family home in Holland Park.

If the deal goes through, it will be a coup for developers Stanhope and Japan’s Mitsui Fudosan, which hope to
establish a creative hub at White City Place by 2020.

On their website, the developers say: " Our plans include the total refurbishment and repositioning of 3 existing buildings to transform them into modern working environments, as well as the potential development of new office buildings. Over 3,000 BBC staff will continue to make White City Place a vibrant working environment."
