Top Us fashion chain will open local store in autumn

One of the fashion chains in the USA, American Eagle Outfitters, is opening in Westfield in Shepherd's Bush this autumn.

It is one of three stores planned by the chain, along with Westfield's second site in Stratford, East London and Bluewater in Kent.

American Eagle Outfitters is the number one selling jeans brand for 15 – 25 year olds in the US. Sister brand aerie is the number two underwear chain, known for its "naturally sexy bras, undies and swimwear".

The store in Westfield will be located on the first floor between the Atrium and Next.

The company's Simon Nankervis says: " We see a tremendous global appetite for the American Eagle Outfitters and aerie brands and believe that having a presence in Westfield’s iconic London centers anchoring East and West London, will provide great exposure for us in this significant new market.”

There are more than 1,000 American Eagle stores in the United States as well as Canada, Mexico, China, and Hong Kong.
