Shepherd's Bush Property Sales - June 2011
Prices continue to rise on low transaction volumes
The average price of residential properties sold in June this year in Shepherd's Bush is £468,862. This continues the trend of prices in the area appearing to be on the rise but with a low number of transactions taking place.
There were just 36 homes sold in the area during the month four of which went for over £1,000,000 - a home in Rylett Road was the most expensive costing £1,710,000.
The June data from the Land Registry's National House Price Index shows an annual price decrease of 2.5% which takes the average property value in England and Wales to £161,479. There was no monthly change from May to June.
The only region in England and Wales to experience an increase in its average property value over the last 12 months is London with a movement of 0.8%.
The most up-to-date figures available show that during April 2011, the number of completed house sales in England and Wales decreased by -7 per cent to 48,704 from 52,272 in April 2010. The number of properties sold in England and Wales for over £1 million increased by 45 per cent between April 2010 and April 2011, from 549 to 798.
