Nominations are now open for the 2025 Hammersmith and Fulham Civic Honour awards.
If you know someone who lives in the borough and is making it a better place you are being asked to put them forward.
Nominate them for a 2025 Civic Honour award and say why they deserve to be celebrated.
The awards aim to highlight the work of the many committed and generous people and groups who give up time from their busy lives to help others. Whether they're running sports teams or youth groups, supporting older neighbours, or volunteering at local charities, the council wants to hear about them.
There are five categories for which nominations can be made:
Individual contributions to building a stronger, safer, and kinder neighbourhood
An award for residents who have gone above and beyond to make your neighbourhood a happier place to live.
Individual contributions to building a stronger, safer, and kinder borough
An award for residents who’ve made a critical difference to improving people’s lives across H&F.
Group contributions to building a stronger, safer, and kinder neighbourhood
An award for a local group who has gone above and beyond to make your neighbourhood a happier place to live.
Group contributions to building a stronger, safer, and kinder borough
An award for a group who has made a critical difference to improving people’s lives across H&F.
Lifetime achievement
An award for people who have made a positive difference because they dedicated their lives to helping others in H&F.
H&F Leader, Cllr Stephen Cowan, said, “The Civic Honours are your chance to recognise and thank people who give their time to make others’ lives better. We’re doing our best to make H&F a stronger, safer, kinder borough and understand how important the exceptional people are who volunteer to make a positive difference in our civic life. So please tell us who you know goes above and beyond.”
Once nominations have been judged, all shortlisted nominees with be invited to a celebration evening at the IBIS Hotel in Lillie Road, Fulham taking place over dinner on Wednesday 9 April 2025. The night will include live music, food and drink, and the chance to hear from others about the incredible people working in H&F.
