Security Alert at Westfield is Over

Police stand down and roads and stations now reopened

 

This morning's security alert at Westfield Shopping Centre is over.

The shopping centre's car park was closed on Friday morning, 23 March after police were called out to reports of a suspicious vehicle.

Surrounding roads and stations were also tube and Overground stations.

However, police say that they have now stood down and the cordon around the car park has lifted.

Traffic has returned to normal in surrounding roads.
