Police Appeal for Witnesses to Collision at Savoy Circus


Accident at junction with A40 on Thursday left 84 year-old man with life changing injuries

Roads and Transport Policing Command officers are appealing for witnesses and information following a collision in Shepherd's Bush that left an elderly man seriously injured.

On Thursday, 20 October police were called at around 11.05am to reports of a car and a pedestrian in collision on the eastbound carriageway at Savoy Circus on Old Oak Common at the junction with Western Avenue (A40).

Officers attended and a man, aged 84, was taken to hospital. He remains in hospital and his injuries are described as life changing.

The driver of the car - a black Peugeot 307 has not been arrested; he is assisting officers with their enquiries.

Detectives at Serious Collision Investigation Unit are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances of the collision.
