Man sets fire to himself in front of BP garage
A man has doused himself with petrol and set himself alight on Shepherd's Bush Green this morning (Thursday, 28th December).
Eye-witnesses describe seeing a human fireball in front of the BP station on the Green.
Emergency services were quickly on hand with three fire engines and ambulances attending the scene. The man has been taken to hospital.
A Scotland Yard spokesperson said, "Police were called at approximately 8am to reports of man on fire. London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service also attended. The man is believed to be in his forties and was taken to a west London hospital where his condition is unknown."
