Could It Be a Quadruple Win for Shepherd's Bush United?

The pressure is on for newly founded local Sunday League team

Middlesex Country Cup Semi Final

FC Brentford - 1
Shepherd's Bush United - 6

Sunday League team Shepherd's Bush United are keeping their quadruple dream alive on Sunday March 9 with a mauling of local rivals FC Brentford in the Middlesex County Cup Semi Final.

A five goals first half blast from the travelling Bush was enough to all but end the match as George Moore smashed in an early double along with goal scoring midfielder Micheal Matier taking his tally to 8 in all competitions, Captain James Freeman crashing in a header from close range and Zac Brichall doing the same.

Although the half time team talk was "more of the same" Bush failed to motivate themselves in a lacklustre second half where a spirited FC Brentford scored a fantastic headed goal and George Moore completed his hatrick.

The Mighty Bush have now qualified for County Cup Final, League Challenge Final, League Cup Semi Final and if thewin their huge fixture list of league games they will take the League title off Sundays opponents Politics FC.

SB United football team

In their previous match SB United found themselves heading for the finals of the Challenge Cup after defeating FC Brotherhood United on March 2. Here's the team's report on the game:

Challenge Cup Semi Final

Shepherds Bush Utd - 5 (Moore 2 and O'Callaghan 3)
FC Brotherhood Utd - 3

Shepherds Bush Utd got to a final on their first attempt, the newly founded club battled hard versus a very spirited FC Brotherhood Utd. Although The Bush controlled the match from the outset they were unable to kill off their opponents missing various chances throughout the game.

Young winger James O'Callaghan was on form as he smashed home a first half hatrick and a George Moore strike gave The Bush a 4-2 lead at half time.

George Moore bagged his second of the match and 19th of the season late on as SBU made it 5-3 and sealed a final to be played at Hanwell Towns Home Ground at the end of the season.

The hunt for trophies continues next weekend with a Middlesex Cup Semi Final v FC Brentford.
