Quarter of a million shoppers expected through the doors
Westfield London is until midnight this Christmas on both December 22 and 23.
The shopping centre says the move to extend the opening hours until midnight is a response to its forecast that these two days will be their busiest shopping days with over a quarter of a million shoppers expected to visit the centre to indulge in Christmas shopping and festive experiences, including the indoor ice skating rink and the world’s first 5D personalised Santa’s Grotto.
" We are responding to the time-poor culture consumers are facing. People simply aren’t able to leave work early for Christmas shopping because of increased work pressures," says Myf Ryan, General Manager Marketing UK.
" Many tourists would welcome the flexibility, allowing them the time to experience Westfield London around the clock as well as enjoying the rest of the Capital’s highlights."
Offering visitors the longest opening hours in the Capital follows research undertaken by Westfield London showing more people are working later hours and need the convenience of being able to shop around their busy schedules. Westfield London will also offer free parking and can take care of bags and shopping delivery by offering home, hotel and international delivery options to ensure the entire visit is as stress free as possible.
