Justin Bieber Delights Fans as He Lights Up Westfield

Teen star performs new songs for 10,000 screaming girls

10,000 excited fans descended on Westfield yesterday evening to see global superstar Justin Bieber switch on the centre's Christmas lights.

The 17 year-old Canadian teen sensation appeared on stage in The Atrium at 5pm alongside the evening's host, Radio 1 DJ and television presenter, Reggie Yates who introduced him to screams from the crowd.

Dressed in all in black with a grey beanie hat and shades, Justin delivered a Christmas message to his UK fans, saying: "I want to thank you guys for coming. I want to wish everyone a merry Christmas and happy holidays and I love you all very much."

Before the ten second countdown to the big switch on, he was joined on stage by local youngsters from Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) - Westfield London and Westfield Stratford’s City’s chosen Christmas charity.

Teenage Cancer Trust has also been chosen by Justin to be the official UK charity partner, benefiting from his ambitious Believe Charity Drive, which aims to raise millions for specific charities before the release of his next album in 2012.

Justin then performed four of his hit singles including new song Mistletoe and was joined onstage by surprise guests, UK boy band The Wanted before meeting 100 lucky fans backstage.

The 17-year old phenomenon was then whisked away by helicopter to the newly opened Westfield Stratford City, located at the gateway to Olympic Park, where received an equally ecstatic reception from another 5,000 fans.

Mistletoe is the single off Justin's new Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe.
